A Year-End Heartfelt Prayer of Gratitude and Trust

Dear Heavenly Father,

2024 was an incredibly tough and painful year—not just for me but for our entire family. Yet, despite everything, we have witnessed Your sovereign hand in every detail of our lives. Thank You, Father, for being so faithful. You wake me up each day with renewed hope, allowing me to experience Your mercies anew every morning. You grant me fullness of life despite my sickness. You bestow immeasurable strength in moments of weakness. You preserve me every step of the way and perform miracles upon miracles, far beyond anything I could have imagined in this lifetime.

Lord God, my Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, You have never failed to meet my every need. Thank You for being a Father who cares so deeply that I need not worry about tomorrow. Thank You for arranging every detail, preparing the path before me, and leading me to walk in it. You have shown Yourself to be a generous God, and when we trust in You, You never fail to meet our needs and grant the desires of our hearts.

Thank You, Father, for the many people—family, friends, and church—who have extended help to us. Thank You for their sacrifice in giving financially to ease our burden. Thank You, God, for touching their hearts and making them a blessing in our lives. I cannot thank You enough for moving through them. Father, may You bless them abundantly. I pray that You bless their families, fill them with joy and love, and keep them healthy and able. I ask for Your grace and mercy to follow them all the days of their lives. May Your light shine upon them, allowing them to be a light to many others.

O God, thank You for the gift of family. Truly, You bless and work through families. You have used my illness to bring us closer to You and to one another. Thank You for strengthening our faith and deepening our relationship with You. Thank You for humbling us and teaching us to trust and surrender to Your perfect will. Thank You for the joy we have, even amidst the pain of this past year, and for blessing us with a new family member, a little bundle of grace—Raelyn Gayle.

Lord Jesus, as we move into 2025, may I draw closer to Your presence. Reveal Yourself to me more clearly so I may marvel at Your goodness. Help me to fix my eyes on You alone in times of doubt and worry. Strengthen me, O God, to wait patiently and believe in Your miracles. Keep my mind, heart, and body strong. May Your Spirit move within me, leading me to follow the path You have prepared and to surrender fully to Your perfect will. Help me grow deeper in Your Word, delighting in my daily quiet times with You. Though 2025 may still hold uncertainties and worries, I place my trust in You. You are my light, my salvation, and the stronghold of my life. Lord, be Thou my vision. 

I pray for those reading this prayer—may they encounter Jesus in 2025 in ways they never expected. May they be filled with the love of the Father and bask in His glory. May the Spirit guide them to surrender and trust in God’s perfect plans for their lives this year. Fill their hearts and their families with love, joy, and peace.
